The persistence of this false claim increases its risk. Debunking messaging may emphasize that COVID-19 vaccination is not associated with an increased heart attack risk—COVID-19 infection is. In fact, in people with previous COVID-19 infections, COVID-19 vaccination may decrease the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other cardiovascular issues.
