Better Communication for Better Health: A Conversation with Christina D. Eskridge

Across the United States, polarization is at an all-time high. As public health communicators, our role is to build trust with our communities so they can rely on our guidance when it matters most.

When evidence alone is no longer enough, navigating community divides and fostering meaningful, compassionate conversations among people with different lived experiences becomes crucial for our success.

In this 45-minute conversation, Christina D. Eskridge, MPH, founder and executive director of Elevate Theatre Company — a theater company dedicated to creating space for audiences and artists to explore health and well-being through storytelling — will join PHCC Director Amanda Kwong to discuss how to use storytelling to communicate about public health and strengthen your community’s awareness, understanding, and trust.

Christina’s guidance is also shaped by her experience in various roles within the Arts and Health field, including her service on the board of the National Organization for Arts in Health (NOAH) and her work as a teaching artist for the New Victory Theater.

Join PHCC for this new conversation series, featuring solutions-oriented individuals who highlight the importance of better communication for better health.
