A video of a pharmacist opening a vial of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine and revealing a blank safety packaging insert has been widely shared on social media and sites previously shown to share misinformation. The video is being used to bolster claims that Johnson & Johnson is hiding safety data and information from vaccine administrators. As can briefly be seen in the video, the insert states that it was left intentionally blank and includes a QR code and URL directing vaccine administrators to www.vaxcheck.jnj, which contains fact sheets with the most up-to-date information about the vaccine. According to a Johnson & Johnson spokesperson, the insert will continue to direct vaccine administrators to this site while the vaccine remains under Emergency Use Authorization to ensure that vaccine administrators are using the most up-to-date information.
